WHY IS THE BANK OF AMERICA CHICAGO MARATHON A SPECIAL RACE FOR YOU?
I am running this race for several reasons. I am expecting my second child this Christmas and want to be the in best shape possible. Also, I have a lot of health issues in my family history related to weight and inactivity so this will be a way of not letting that effect me. Third, I made myself a promise when I turned 30 that I would run a marathon by the time I was 35. I lost over 50 pounds last year with diet changes. Now I want to get fit and in awesome shape.

ARE YOU RUNNING FOR A CAUSE OR IN HONOR OF SOMEONE?
I am running for my children. I want them to have a very interactive dad! Also, I love talking about our profession and how it can help everyone.

HAVE YOU HAD TO OVERCOME ANY PERSONAL CHALLENGES IN YOUR TRAINING THAT WILL MAKE FINISHING AN EVEN GREATER SUCCESS?
I have not attempted to run since college. At Indiana University, I ran with a very inspiring friend named Tiffany. She always talked about the peace of mind that occurred with running. I never believed her until recently. She is correct.

DO YOU HAVE ANY INSPIRATIONAL STORIES TO SHARE?
I was running today up a very tall hill...a car passed me and someone yelled "Run, Forest, Run!" That made me laugh out loud.
